Heimbach may produce all woven dryer fabrics in Spain

The steadily increasing demand for innovative products combined with shorter delivery times and higher quality requirements necessitate a rearrangement of the manufacturing locations for paper machine clothing in the Heimbach Group.
The production of press felts is concentrated at the Düren and Olten (Switzerland) plants. In future all the woven dryer fabrics in Europe will be produced in Burgos (Spain). Short dimension felts together with dryer fabrics for special applications will be produced at the Belgian plant. The manufacture of link fabrics will continue unchanged in Düren.
In the course of this realignment designed to extend the manufacturing capacity, investments will be made in new production units in the region of 35 million Euro. Emphasis will be placed on investment in new plants for the production of non-woven press felts and seamed felts. In addition new capacity will be created in the needling and finishing areas.
Personnel affected by changes in manufacturing locations will be retrained for their new operations.
