Even as the Supreme Court okayed proposal for using defunct Mill lands for setting residential and commercial complex in Mumbai, Bombay Dyeing though belatedly, has plans to develop 70 acres of land at Spring Mills in Dadar.
Another textile mill in Worli is also being cleared for development as the Bombay Dyeing Board has cleared plans for a 'mixed use development' on the nearly 30 lakh sq-ft space avaiable at both the mills.
A residential complex and a shopping centre are planned at Dadar, while a hotel and service apartments are being designed at the Worli mill site.
The Board's decision will be submitted for approval at the Annual General Meeting planned shortly.
