Japan Vilene Company Ltd, Tokyo, Japan, holds the other 50% of the shares of Freudenberg & Vilene International Ltd. Japan Vilene was founded in 1960 as a Joint Venture of Freudenberg, Dainippon Ink & Chemical and Toray Industries. Today, Japan Vilene is the leading Japanese producer of nonwovens serving manifold applications including textiles, automotive, medical and consumer products.
