ATIRA has 'Environment lab' and 'Eco-lab' aimed at effluent content analysis to check environment friendliness of textile industries.
ATIRA is now looking beyond fabric to areas like Technical Textile, Industrial Textile and Medical Textile, which would involve non-fabric, chemical bonded textiles.
It also plans to introduce new areas of consultancy, including macro environment evaluation, energy conservation in ginning units and training and orientation in new methods and skills like computer aided design, in addition to activities like surveys, workshops, blend testing and fabric defect analysis.
They are also planning to tap other countries in Asia and Africa for clients.
