Ground-breaking US$ 15mn funding to support ADB's program in India

Among the 15 projects under the cluster grant are a proposed $250 million road development project for Madhya Pradesh, $300 million for a roads development project for Northeastern States, $200 million urban infrastructure project for Rajasthan, $300 million urban development project for Jammu and Kashmir, and $250 million agriculture and water management project for Orissa.
The Department of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance is the executing agency for the cluster grant, which will be carried out over two and a half years to December 2008.
ADB, based in Manila, is dedicated to reducing poverty in the Asia and Pacific region through pro-poor sustainable economic growth, social development, and good governance.
