The European Commission has given the nod of approval to the budget plans of the EU's biggest economy.
On Wednesday (19 July), Brussels indicated that Germany was on track to bring its budget deficit back below the required three percent of GDP, which would end a four-year humiliating run of Berlin breaching the euro rules.
