MOFCOM says the foreign trade of Jiangsu province amounted to US$127.86 billion in the first half of this year with a year-on-year increase of 23.5 percent, 0.1 percentage points higher than the national average.
Trade surplus hit US$13.59 billion, US$6.79 billion more than the same period last year. In the first half of the year, Jiangsu's foreign trade was ranked NO.2 nationally and made up 16.1 percent of national total, and its growth rate was ranked No.3 among the main eastern coastal provinces.
The foreign-funded enterprises are still leading in the foreign trade of Jiangsu; growth rates of Collective and private enterprises are further higher than the provincial average rate; state-owned enterprises still record minus growth in terms of foreign trade.
