CII seeks infrastructure development in Tamil Nadu

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) urged Government of Tamil Nadu to develop 25 new clusters for growth potential industries like Textile and Automobiles.
CII wants Tamil Nadu Government to create export hub, manufacturing and satellite hubs, tourism promotion in the southern districts.
CII has identified appropriate places as per the potential of industry like for satellite hub Ramanathapuram and Tirunelveli, Tuticorin as export-cum-service hub, Madurai to emerge as a manufacturing hub with Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli and Virudhunagar as knowledge corridors, Kanyakumari and Ramanathapuram as tourism corridors.
Moreover, Government can develop natural cluster such as textile processing and chemicals in Cuddalore; fabrication cluster in Trichy; foundry and auto component in Coimbatore; rubber and auto component in Madurai.
CII is hopeful that Government will take positive steps to develop infrastructure projects which would help in attract foreign investment as well as generating employments.
