High-quality textile-based products firm Gamma Holding intends to sell its subsidiary Ames Europe, part of discontinued operations, to a Dutch private investor with interests that include a printing works and a logistics services company.

The aim is to complete the transaction the coming months. No statement can be made about the sum involved. Ames Europe has a total of 119 employees. As things stand at present, the proposed sale is not expected to have any impact on employment. There will be consultation with the social partners about this transaction.

Ames Europe's turnover is approximately EUR 17 million. The company makes industrial knitted fabrics and has facilities in Enschede (The Netherlands) and Remiremont (France).

Gamma Holding develops manufactures and sells innovative, high-quality textile-based products throughout the world. Gamma Holding comprises two sectors, Gamma Technologies and Gamma Comfort & Style. These are made up of seven business units specialising in belting, filtration, coatings and composites, and sailcloth technology, as well as sleep care, car and exotic fabrics.
