Business on the Bremen cotton market was predominantly quiet during the reporting period. Holidays and a relatively good supply of the spinning mills limited the activities of the trade. On the domestic market offers of Central Asian and West African cotton were accepted. Strong interest was registered from Far East for cotton from Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
In the Upland range were traded: Central Asian sorts for prompt and for the 3rd and 4th quarter 2006, West African types for the 3rd and 4th quarter 2006 as well as cotton from Tanzania and Zimbabwe for the 3rd and 4th quarter 2006.
In the field of long and extra longstaple cotton offers were taken in Sudan Barakat for the 3rd and 4th quarter 2006 and US Pima for the 4th quarter 2006.
