India's oldest business house Tata and a consortium of shoe manufacturers joined hands to establish special economic zones to manufacture leather products at Tada, Nellore, in Andhra Pradesh (AP).
This will be the largest leather manufacturing facility in India.
In this project Tata will invest Rs100 crore to develop SEZ. From this supposed SEZ, exports of leather products worth Rs2,200 crore are expected in next three years.
