Textile, Leather & Paper posted solid sales growth compared to the previous year with strong growth in paper and encouraging developments in leather and textiles.
A reduction in the cost base in detergents was initiated during the Second Quarter, including the closure of a plant in Knapsack, Germany.
Looking at the regional picture during the first half of the year, organic sales growth in Asia was 4 percent, including 14 percent in China. In the Americas, sales grew 5 percent, including 7 percent in the United States, while in Europe sales increased 3 percent, including 3 percent in Germany.
