During the week under report business on the local market remained calm subject to seasonal influences. Few enquiries registered by merchants indicate that the development of prices is still observed closely by some mill buyers.

Sales were mainly limited on available Upland cotton for nearby delivery terms and until end of the year. However, the traded volume was small.

In the Upland range were traded: Greek descriptions for prompt loading; West-African types for prompt and further in the 3rd and 4th quarter 2006, as well as Central Asian sorts for prompt and 4th quarter 2006.

In the LS/ELS range sales were reported in Sudan Barakat for the 3rd quarter 2006.
