Trends for Winter 2006/2007
Glitter and glitz, extravagant materials, and exotic patterns continue to prevail in the collections for winter 2006/2007. Round tips and caramel colours from the 80's are in, and ethnicity and decorations can be seen in tassels and embroidery. Contrasting forces can also be seen as simple and classy are coming back in more moderate colours and details.

Trend shows, presentations and shoe exhibition
Trend Shows: Trends for autumn and winter 06/07, Saturday and Sunday 1 pm, Monday at noon. By HAMK, University of Applied Sciences, students of the degree programme in design. The show is based on Communications Officer Leena Aro's knowledge in trends (Shoecouncil).

Presentations by the Association of Fashion Retailers in Finland: Shoes of good quality will not be left in the closet – information on materials, upkeep, and life cycle of shoes. Saturday and Sunday at 1.30 pm, Monday at half past noon.
Winter exhibition by the Vapriikki Shoe Museum:”Footprints in the snow”

Twice per year at the Helsinki Fair Centre
The Shoe and Bag Fair is organised twice per year. Last autumn the event was visited by 642 professionals of the field and it presented 56 exhibitors.

The fair is open Saturday and Sunday 10 am – 5 pm and Monday 9 am – 2 pm.
