Among prominent buyers invited include El Corte Ingles, Kenneth Cole, Laura Ashley, Carrefour, Auchan International, John Lewis Partnership, JC Penny, Sainsbury’s, Kaufhof Warenhaus AG, Galeries Lafayette, Target Corporation and Zara Home.
The buyers such as retail chain from US and Europe like Mothercare, NEXT and Fruit of the Loom have already confirmed their participation.
A cursory look at the contribution of Pakistan’s textile and garment industry reveals the importance of sector in the Pakistan’s economy.
Its share in total exports of Pakistan is 62 percent; it contributes 46 percent in manufacturing sector, 11 percent of the total GDP as well as 30 percent of industrial value addition.
