Lamy calls for advancing aid for trade amid efforts to resume trade talks Director-General Pascal Lamy, in his opening remarks to the 53rd Session of the UNCTAD Trade and Development Board on 27 September 2006, said Aid for Trade is "a key piece" of the trade-development-growth puzzle but stressed that "there is no acceptable alternative to the successful conclusion of the Round".
