New office bearers have been announced elected at the Karachi Cotton Association, according to Mr S A Jawed, Secretary of this leading industry association from Pakistan.
Speaking over the phone, Mr Jawed informed that Mr Akbarali Hashwani and Mr Sohail Naseem have both been elected Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively.
Elections were held on October 2, 2006 and the newly elected Board has 17 members and four Government nominees, according to Mr Jawed.
Incorporated in 1933, KCA is a recognized cotton association for entire Pakistan. All sections of the trade are represented on the Board of Directors.
KCA promotes cotton and its members' interests while affording lead status to Pakistan, globally.
