TEXGATE set pace in race for market share of $60bn sector!

In changing this year's concept, TEXGATE-II 2006 knocked on the doors of foreign participants for the first time to host 128 firms, 97 of which were foreign.
The fair, which was attended by 15,276 visitors, gave firms the opportunity to compete in acquiring a piece of both the $60 billion ready-to-wear market in both Turkey and neighboring countries.
Uniting textile manufacturers and international buyers twice a year, the 20th International Textiles and Accessories Fair (TEXGATE- II 2006) was held between 28-30 September, 2006 at CNR Expo.
In hosting internationally renown firms from Italy, France, Brazil, Australia, China, India and Pakistan, as well as local brands, the world's fourth-largest textile fair, this year's TEXGATE was held within the framework of an international fair.
Besides the numerous firms and participants from abroad, fair executives indicated that they took the decision to include foreign firms in response to requests by Turkish ready-to-wear firms.
They also mentioned that in addition to participating firms competing for a share of the $10 billion Neighboring Countries' Ready-to-Wear” market as well as the $10 billion market which exists in Turkey, visitors also established productive business connections within this competitive environment.
The World's Textile Giants were at Texgate! Organized by ITF - Istanbul Trade Fairs and held at CNR EXPO, TEXGATE was attended by 97 firms from India,Pakistan, Brazil, France and Italy, as well as 128 firms from Turkey.
