There was considerable enthusiasm among the Jawans as they spoke to the Defence Minister, the Chief of Army Staff and GOC of the Area.
Earlier before proceeding for the aerial survey Shri Mukherjee and General J J Singh planted a sapling each at the Base Camp.
Brigade Commander Brig. Om Prakash informed the Defence Minister that the arboculture and waste management drives have been launched by the Army with the objective of cleaning the environment. He informed the Minister that as a part of the programme 1.2 lakh saplings have been planted so far.
