VDMA German Textile Machinery Associaton takes the initiative to organise a Textile Machinery Symposium in India in December 2005. Thirty leading German companies known to be technology leaders on the market are set to participate at the event.
The symposium will meet the increased requests for high-tech technology from Germany by the Indian Textile Industrialists after the abolition of the quota system.
The VDMA trade fair committee, composed by leading manufacturers such as Barmag, Thies, Schlafhorst, Trützschler, Monforts, Lindauer Dornier, Mayer & Cie., Groz-Beckert, Stoll, Dilo, Karl Mayer and Rieter, proposed this initiative, which found immediate support by the VDMA board.
In the meantime, VDMA secured political support from the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour and AUMA (Association of German Trade Fair Industry). Discussions have also started with the Indian Government as well as with the textile and mill associations in India.
The symposium has been scheduled for December 6-7, 2005 and will be held in The Residency Hotel, Coimbatore. Participation will be limited to 600 leaders from the Indian textile industry.
As sponsoring body the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour has appointed MCO Marketing Communication Organisation, a leading international conference organiser based in Düsseldorf/Germany as official organiser.
They will be assisted by the local Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), Chapter of Chennai, which has extensive experience with such events.
Registration details for delegates from leading textile mills will be disclosed by the joint-organisers in short time.
