India's Wool and Woolens Export Promotion Council is targeting an 11 percent growth in exports for the current fiscal year following good results last year.

The council said it wants exports of woolen products to reach $500m after a $400m target last year was beaten, PTI reported. In 2005/06, wool and wool-blended product exports reached INR21bn, an 11.96 percent increase on the previous year, according to Council Chairman Ashok Jaidka.
