Trade on the Bremen cotton market in the week under report moved both, quantitatively as well as by the diversity of the traded growths in a manageable frame. There were ample enquiries by the spinning mills mainly for nearby dates, but, however, could not be served in all cases.

The inquired qualities were partly not yet in hands of the merchants. The currently available offers from the origins for new crop were estimated as „too high“ and further purchases by the mills were placed back for the time being.

Turnovers in Upland cottons were registered as follows: West African types for prompt and for the 1st to 3rd quarter 2007; Central Asian sorts for prompt and for the 1st quarter 2007, as well as Brazil cotton for the 1st quarter 2007.

In the LS/ELS range were traded: USA Pima for the 4th quarter 2006; Egyptian GIZA 88 and 86 for the 4th quarter 2006 and Sudan Barakat cotton for the 2nd quarter 2007.
