An international cotton conference will be held on 3-5 December 2006 in Dhaka, Bangladesh under the theme: Opportunities for Increased Trade in Cotton Textiles.

The conference will be organized by Cotton Bangladesh and the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) in cooperation with Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Bangladesh Knit Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA), Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) and Cotton Outlook.

The venue of the conference will be the Dhaka Sheraton Hotel. The two-day convention will include a conference, trade show and social events.

The conference will focus on the potential for growth in world cotton and textile trade, and investment opportunities for the textile industry. It will also address regional trade flows in cotton and textile products and strategies to cope with increasing competition in textile trade.

A special session will be devoted to cotton sourcing opportunities for the textile industry in Bangladesh. The trade show will present an opportunity for companies and organizations to increase their visibility and to showcase their products and services. It is expected that about 200 people from a wide number of countries will participate in the convention.

We are honored to invite you to participate in the conference and, possibly, to make a contribution as a speaker, or as a sponsor of some of the events.

Participation in the conference will allow you to arrange contacts with a large number of Bangladeshi cotton and textile merchants and manufacturers as well as with international businessman.

A number of high ranking government officials from several countries are expected to participate in the conference. Participation will also allow increasing visibility of your company in the region. We believe that the conference will be highly beneficial to the cotton and textile industries.
