Fifth largest ethylene maker from South Korea, Lotte Daesan Petrochemical Corp has bought shipment of naphtha at a discount of $11.50 per metric ton below the benchmark prices.
The naphtha shipment was 25,000 metric ton and was sold by a Japanese trading company. The prices were $540.50 a ton in Japanese market with benchmark falling 22% from $688 per ton.
Lotte, a unit of South Korea's Honam Petrochemical Corp handles a cracker which has the capacity to make 650, 000 tons of ethylene per year from naphtha.
