As reported by the Federal Statistical Office, the index of selling prices in wholesale trade increased 2.9 percent in October 2006 from the corresponding month of the preceding year.
In September and in August 2006, the annual rate of change was +3.0 percent and +5.3 percent, respectively. From September to October 2006 the index fell by 0.2 percent.
