Mr Brian van Rooyen, Dr Chris Abell and Mr Walter Merriman have been re-elected to the Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) Board of Directors.
The result of the election was announced, 14 November 2006, at the company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Armidale, New South Wales.
Five candidates nominated for the three positions on the AWI Board, Mr Charles (Chick) Olsson, Mr Brian van Rooyen, Dr Chris Abell, Mr Walter Merriman and Mr John Carstairs.
Mr Brian van Rooyen received 142,733 in favor of his re-election to the Board, Mr Walter Merriman received 130,487 votes for his re-election and 126,282 votes were cast in favor of Dr Chris Abell.
Mr Charles (Chick) Olsson received 106,673 votes in favor, while 69,808 votes were cast in favor of Mr John Carstairs.
