The Australian Wool Services Limited's Annual General Meeting in Armidale, NSW, has concluded with positive results for the company.
Chairman, Barry Walker, has been re-elected as a Board member, Director designate, Philip Attard, was elected and the Special Resolution for a share buy-back was supported.
Immediately following the AGM, Board Meetings appointed Robbie Sefton as a Director, re-elected Barry Walker as Chairman and elected John Patten as Deputy Chairman. “The AGM presented our results for 2005/06 and our plans for 2006/07,” says Chairman Barry
Walker.
“In the midst of a difficult time for us, I would like to thank the Board and Management for their dedication and professionalism.”
Barry Walker said that while he sympathised with the fortunes of Australian woolgrowers, he maintains that integration with AWI represents the future for AWS shareholders.
“We will continue to work with government and consult with all industry groups so that we may secure integration as quickly and as smoothly as possible.”
