The Singapore Department of Statistics has just released the Quarterly Business Receipts Index (BRI) for Q3 2006.
Most services industries, except financial & insurance services and education services, recorded increased revenue, leading to a growth in the overall business receipts for the services sector.
The overall business receipts for services industries in Q3 2006 rose by 1.3 percent when compared with Q3 2005. Excluding financial & insurance services, the receipts increased by 5.8 percent.
Most business services sectors, except financial & insurance services and education services, recorded increased revenue.
Compared with the previous quarter, total business receipts went up by 2 percent. If financial & insurance were excluded, total receipts rose by 2.7 percent.
