Footwear Sector: According to the Egyptian chamber of the leather industry, the Egyptian leathers are famous for their beauty and texture quality, due to the climate of the country and to the production of quality, about 125 millions pairs per year.

The types of manufactured skins are: cattle (35%), sheep (22%), steer (19%), buffalo (17%), camel (5%) and goat (2%). The sector employees nearly 15 thousand people.

The main export markets: Spain, Italy, Cypriot, Greece, Libya, China, South Arabia and Algeria.
