A new journal from the Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC), the world's leading professional society devoted entirely to colour, is planned for 2007 which will appeal to colourists, designers, scientists, artists and other professionals.

Colour: Design and Creativity is a new electronic journal that aims to become the premier forum for the publication of reports of research-based and practice-based work that is colour- and design-related. The fields of interest include, but are not limited, to:
Colour communication , Colour design, Colour emotion, Colour in fashion design, Colour forecasting, Colour harmony, Colour in art theory and practice, Colour in marketing, Colour in the built environment, Colour perception, Colour psychology, Cultural and global issues, Environmental design, Graphic design, Interactive design, Sensory design.
Authors can expect a high-quality peer review process operated by an international editorial panel of high-profile, respected experts in many aspects of colour and design that will validate and enhance the status of all work published.
The journal's philosophy is to act as a multidisciplinary journal addressing all aspects of colour and design, featuring articles that systematically describe evidence-based applications of colour in design, art, architecture, fashion, etc. Articles reporting basic, applied and theoretical research related to colour will also be included.
Review and explanatory papers, case studies, essays, and reviews of books, events, collections, installations, etc. are also sought.
