Stretchbreak: 2 machines in operation; and
Loose Stock Shrink Resist: 1 machine, 1.8million kg of wool being processed annually.
“While the numbers have been quite solid, our market analysis tells us that ANDAR can no longer depend on wool alone into the future. Last year, less than 33 percent of ANDAR's business was textiles,” says James Irvine. “So, over the past twelve months we have developed innovations such as Sonic Drill Technology which is superior performance directional drilling equipment, Composting Technology which treats woolscour sludge, and MKII Optim – an upgrade to the Optim process which doubles the speed of the machine and provides on line backwashing and drying.”
“ANDAR has had a long relationship with the wool industry and feel very passionately about its future however, we are a commercial for profit company,” says James Irvine. “While we will continue to innovate wool processing technology, diversification is the way of the future for ANDAR if we are to be successful in our business and for our shareholders.”
