According to preliminary estimates, new orders to Swedish industry decreased by 2.6 percent from September to October.
This reflected a 3.6 percent decrease in the export market and a 1.2 percent decrease in the domestic market.
New orders in the capital goods industry decreased by 3.5 percent from September to October while new orders in the intermediate goods industry decreased by 1.0 percent.
New orders for the last three months (August-October) decreased by 0.6 percent compared to the preceding three months (May-July). The increase in the export market was 1.0 percent and the decrease in the domestic market was 2.9 percent.
The total volume of new orders increased by 3.6 percent for October 2006 compared to October 2005.
