Price escalation continues in cotton markets as today, the prices per maund reached Rs2550 from Rs2525.
According to Cotlook Indices, A Index was 60.40 and B Index stood at 55.85 on December 11, 2006.
Around 30000 cotton bales changed hands at several cotton stations, according to Karachi Cotton Association. The prices of cotton swing between Rs2480 and Rs2630 per maund.
LOD station was the busiest with 4200 cotton bales changed hands at Rs2600 per maund.
