APEX-Brasil granted ABIT two prominent awards at the APEX-Brasil Award for Excellence in Exportation ceremony held in São Paulo on November 23.
The Association was a finalist in the “Market Consolidation” category where it presented its actions, through the Texbrasil Program and with APEX-Brasil's support that resulted in an increase in the textile and apparel sector's participation in the Colombian (108.68%) and Spanish (533%) markets, from 2003 to 2006.
For the “Commercial Intelligence” category, the entity entered the Texbrasil Circuit case, which included the presentation of international market studies exclusively developed for Brazilian companies interested in entering or expanding their business in ten different countries: Mexico, Germany, Canada, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, England, France, Australia and Colombia.
Consultants from these countries, especially hired by ABIT, came to Brazil to follow an itinerary of presentations in the following Brazilian cities: São Paulo, Maringá, Belo Horizonte, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Vitória, Salvador and Fortaleza.
Besides giving lectures, they analyzed 4.8 thousand products. About 1.2 thousand businessmen participated in the Circuit.
About 500 people participated in the ceremony that revealed the winners. The award is comprised of seven categories and two honorable mentions – special jury awards.
It represented APEX-Brasil's recognition for the excellent performance by those companies and entities linked to the national export segment over the past four years.
More than 30 sectorial entities that are Agency partners registered for the Award.
