As reported by the Federal Statistical Office, 124,000 larger businesses were started-up in Germany in the first nine months of 2006 (–5.1 percent from the corresponding period of the preceding year).
The number of deregistrations of larger businesses decreased by 4.9 percent to about 96,100 over the same period.
