Value of exports rise in Nov

In November 2006, Swedish exports amounted to SEK 98.4 billion, while imports amounted to SEK 86.1 billion. As a result, the net trade surplus was SEK 12.3 billion.

Foreign trade resulted in a net trade surplus of SEK 12.3 billion in November 2006 according to preliminary calculations from Statistics Sweden. The surplus for November 2005 was SEK 10.6 billion.

The value of exports in November 2006 amounted to SEK 98.4 billion, while imports were valued at SEK 86.1 billion. Compared to November 2005, exports have increased in value by 10 per cent, while imports have increased by 9 per cent. The number of weekdays in November was unchanged compared to November 2005.

Trade with countries outside the EU resulted in a surplus of SEK 15.1 billion, while EU trade resulted in a deficit of SEK 2.8 billion.

Seasonally adjusted, the net trade surplus amounted to SEK 12.5 billion in November 2006, compared to SEK 12.1 billion in October 2006. The corresponding figure for September 2006 was SEK 11.7 billion.

The net trade balance for January-November 2006 resulted in a surplus of SEK 139 billion:
During this period, the value of exports have increased in value by 12 per cent, while imports have increased by 13 percent compared to the corresponding period one year ago.

Exports amounted to SEK 995.4 billion, and imports were valued at SEK 856.2 billion, resulting in a net trade surplus of SEK 139.2 billion for January-November 2006. The corresponding surplus figure for these months in 2005 was SEK 132.9 billion.
