"The first thing is to make a precise assessment of the damage,"says Christian. "The reconstruction timetable in the plant section affected is already in place, and we aim to start implementing it the moment the area is released by the authorities and the insurance people. In a few weeks we will have restored full capacity step by step."
The Trevira directors thank all the relief agencies and co-workers who helped limit the damage and restart production again with such speed. "Our safety systems have shown their value and the personnel involved responded promptly and very well", says Trevira CEO Jörg Hellwig.
