Pantaloon Retail (India), which has three stores at Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune is planning to open lifestyle retail store at Chennai.
The store may be standalone or will be part of a mall. The store will have retail space of 50,000 square feet and it is expected to be a ten storey store.
The store has over 1.6 lakh items like apparel, household products, furniture, kitchen equipment, jewellery unit etc.
At present, the company has about 3.5 million square feet retail space across the country with 10 Big Bazaars in South India.
In next two years, Pantaloon is planning to increase retail space by 26 million square feet.
