BCH training workshop on medical textiles

Business Co-ordination House (BCH), organized the first ever & specific 'Training Workshop on Medical Textiles, with special emphasis on Products & Devices for Bandaging & Pressure Garments' on 21 & 22 December, 2006, in New Delhi.

The training workshop was conducted by the experts of the industry, namely, Professor Subhash Anand, University of Bolton, UK & Professor V. K. Kothari, IIT, Delhi. The Indian market perspective was given by Mrs. Ritika Gupta Executive Director, BCH. The workshop was attended by a large number of participants including all the major players of the Indian Medical Textile Industry.

The 2-day training workshop provided a unique opportunity to gain an insight into the complete technical know-how right from the manufacturing of the complete range of pressure garments & bandages to the specifications needed and product development being undertaken. Further, the workshop gave a detailed view of the Technical Textile industry, including all the application areas, with an insight into competitive positioning, market attractiveness, pricing trends & strategic recommendations for success.

The workshop contained exclusive & comprehensive material and data pertaining to practical guidance needed for entrepreneurs. The participants were overwhelmed with the knowledge shared with them and felt that such specific workshops not only give them the opportunity to learn about the subject of their interest but also to network with other stakeholders of the industry and share views on challenges an obstacles faced by the industry.
