Schoeller's soft-shell choice with more then 100 distinguishable fabrics gives apparel manufacturers “the perfect choice” for their specific needs in relation to activity, season, “body type” and visual ideas.
And even more “specific performance” can be added by the individual equipment of schoeller-soft-shells and other fabrics with the smart textile technologies like 3XDRY, NanoSphere, schoeller-PCM, ActiveSilver and c_change.
The latest finding – the bionic climate membrane c_change - was awarded by the way in December 2006 in London with the “2006 Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Innovation of the Year”.
“Gold” is around very intensely: Gold as a twill version, in a cotton look, blended with linen or a silver fleece, as a plain or structured lacquered surface and elastic or non-elastic. Gold is coming from the sportswear and fashion side into the active sports now too, in both ways; as brilliant optic on the outside and as surprising inner side of a garment.
Other intense optics is reached by glossy reds, blue, grey and silver tones. An interesting visual effect is also given by new fabrics with a smooth varnish upper side or with a “lacquered printing”. Padded and very very lightweight fabrics represent a new trend and give the fall/winter apparel a nice and trendy volume and special touch combined with soft-shell comfort.
Also important are lightweight rip-stop fabrics with high endurance and good abrasion resistance forgolf, trekking, travel and multifunctional pants. Other featherweights include bielastic sportswear fabrics with a changeant effect and a nice hand that can be bonded with for example a thicker fleece or a glamorous gold liner.
New dynatec's in a silver, golden and black carbon optic combine abrasion and tear resistance with a glamorous and trendy nylon look. Schoeller Switzerland also presents a next generation of schoeller-PCM liners that are very lightweight and offer higher breathability. New, interesting and a growing trend are soft-shells for footwear.
