During the reporting period the course of business was still quite calm as consequence of the still ongoing works holidays of several mills. Only towards the end of the week, the local merchants increasingly received enquiries which were explicitly directed to very near delivery dates.
There is obviously still widespread need for covering in the first quarter 2007. Since the price ideas of mill buyers and merchants were partly quite far away, new contracts were only closed in a limited scale.
Turnovers were registered in Central Asian sorts for prompt delivery and further in the first quarter 2007, as well as West African types for the same period of time.
