Wholesale trade up by 3.2% in real terms

According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office, the turnover achieved by wholesale trade in Germany in 2006 increased 6.7% in nominal terms and 3.2% in real terms compared with the previous year.

Hence, nominal and real increases in turnover have been observed in wholesale trade in Germany for the fourth year in a row.

The wholesale trade in December 2006 increased 3.3% in nominal terms and 0.6% in real terms compared with the corresponding month in the previous year.

When adjusted for calendar and seasonal variations (Berlin Method 4.1 - BV 4.1), the December 2006 turnover was in nominal and in real terms 1.0% larger than that in the preceding month.
