Price of Bt cotton seed per packet of 450 gm has been fixed at Rs750 by State government whereas Monsanto Biotech-India Limited's seed packet is priced at Rs1450.
Monsanto Biotech-India Limited has moved the Supreme Court against a Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission (MRTPC) order on reducing the price for a packet of 450 gm.
