In 2006, cotton imports by Guangdong ports significantly changed with price fluctuation.
Since May the average import price started rising from the low level of $1288 per ton, and tuned downward from the high level of $1320.3 per ton in July.
In September the average price fell to $1264.1 per ton, the lowest point for the whole year. In October the price picked up again, and the average import price by Guangdong ports increased to $1351.1 per ton in November, the highest point in 2006.
