Tricia Guild is known for her bold and original fabric and wallpaper collections and her extraordinary ability to use color and pattern in decoration. The designer is in India to launch her Designers Guild global brand of luxury home furnishing through a tie-up with an Indian retail major.

At a press conference in Delhi on Monday, the London-based Guild said “India has an exquisite traditional aesthetic sense, especially for homes and the environment, and a sensitivity that is built into its tradition and culture. In addition, Indians today are also becoming increasingly brand and quality conscious”.
With this joint venture between India's Floor and Furnishings retail major and designer Guild, hope to touch the sales up to Rs12 billon in two years.
The total market in this country for upper end furnishings is about Rs30 billion.
