Palmers will be closing its department store in Newmarket by the end of June.

After facing some difficulty in Newmarket, Chairman and Managing director Bruce Sturrock has decided to concentrate trading in two Palmers stores at St Andrews Street North, Bury St Edmunds.

The trader has plans of developing and revamping its Home store in Bury. The shop showcases excellent tableware and glass and offers wonderful choice in linen, curtains and gifts for all ages.

A new fashion store will be unveiled by September 2008, before opening of Cattle Market scheme in the coming spring.
