In a move ensure textile products meet international standards in the quality inspection, the China National Textile Industry Council (CNTIC) set-up China's first Textile Testing Center in Beijing.
In a recent past, many European companies and the US imposed technical barriers like green ecological criteria and environmental protection standards, to restrict China-made textiles import.
Failure of meeting international standards in quality inspection has resulted about $1.2 billion of annual loss for Chinese textile export.
The Director of the Textile Testing Center, Fu Guangwei informed that the center will look after quality inspection of textile products and conduct training sessions to enhance textile quality standards, on behalf of the government and respective industrial organizations.
The center's quality inspection reports would be recognized within China and as well as by international authoritative inspection institutions, such as the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) and the UK Society of Dyers and Colorists (SDC), said Guangwei.
