Cotton prices have been stuck to the level of Rs2600 per maund after June 2, and today also the prices are stable at Rs2600, according to Karachi Cotton Association.
As per the Cotlook Indices, A Index was 60.95 on June 12, 2007.
Two cotton stations recorded transactions of total 2200 bales. Sultanabad saw dealings of 2000 cotton bales at Rs2505 per maund and 200 bales changed hands at SDU at Rs2600 per maund.
