FPCCI & JETRO sign MoU for smooth business

Mr. Tanvir Ahmad Sheikh, President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry and Mr. Hiroyuki Miya kawa, Executive Director, Japan External Trade organization, Karachi Office signed Memorandum of Understanding to provide technical assistance under JETRO Expert Services Abroad for improving business environment.

Under the MOU JETRO will provide the services of an expert who will work in FPCCI Head Office to undertake capacity building for the promotion of trade and investment, coordinate the activities of FPCCI and Pakistan Japan Business Forum and link the Government's industrial and investment policy making with FPCCI objectives.

The expert assigned under the agreement is Mr. Kokyo Tamaki, who first came to Pakistan in 1964 as Assistant Manager, Domestic Market, Textile Machinery Department of TOMEN Corporation.

After working for a total of 21 years in Tomen Corporation in various capacities he worked in Board of Investment as Advisor for Investment Promotion in Pakistan. Later he was involved in Karachi Mega City Vitalization program.

President, FPCCI expressed pleasure over the signing of the MOU with JETRO and hoped that FPCCI and the private sector of Pakistan will benefit from the experience and expertise of Mr. Kokyo Tamaki.

Mr. Hiroyuki Miya Gawa said on the occasion that the agreement, has been signed with the full support of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Japan External Trade Organization, Tokyo and hoped that the private sector of Pakistan will benefit from it.
