Reporting on the sales results, INSTITUT FRANÇAIS D E LA MODE informs that individual sectors registered 8 percent growth in value terms compared with previous year.
Meanwhile, speciality chains recorded a 10 percent rise while department stores sales grew by a whooping 19 percent. Finally, sales of the popular stores or retailers seem to advance more moderately at 4 percent in value terms.
Posting of good results are partly explained by the fact that there was an additional Saturday last month, which was not so in June, 2006.
